Mission

The ‘General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure’, is helping in developing a spirit of adventure amongst the people of Karnataka.

They provide sports related activities at various centres around the beautiful state. This enables great ways in which people can understand the environment, experience what nature has to offer and satisfy their inner adventurist!

GETHNAA currently has four centers.

Badami – Rock Climbing Centre

Situated  at a distance of 510kms from

Bangalore, Badami  has  around 200 climbing paths, and is the number one rock climbing destination in Karnataka. It has natural rocky structures which make climbing much more interesting. Climbers from around the world have created the routes by inserting climbing anchors for others to benefit from.

Ramanagar – Terrestrial Activity Centre

Only 50kms from Bangalore, Ramanagar is a scenic town and has a wealth of rocky terrain.

All enthusiastic hikers, climbers and trekkers will enjoy the sports such as rock climbing, trekking,  bird watching and target jumping,  offered at the this centre. The incredible beauty of its surroundings adds to the experience, making your adventure memorable.

Vani Vilasa – Aqua Sports centre

The General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure centre at Vani Vilasa is located  at  a distance of 180kms from Bangalore, near the oldest dam in the state, the Vani Vilasa Sagara. The stillness of the water provides a calmness that makes all the activities of mountain biking, wind surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, speed boating, jet skiing, canoeing and fishing, easier to master.

Barpole – Rafting Camp

Amidst the south of Coorg at about 80 kms from Madikeri is the scenic paradise. The rafting here starts during the first week of July and ends on the second week of October, as it depends on the monsoon. The rapids are exhilarating and truly thrilling.

Apart from the above centers GETHNAA also offers special summer camps for children and parents to instill a sense of adventure.
